Ultrasep ES 100 RP1 is a silica-based HPLC column with a 100 Å pore size and a C1 (methyl) bonded phase. As the shortest alkyl chain in reversed-phase chromatography, RP1 provides minimal hydrophobic retention and allows for fast elution of analytes. This makes it particularly useful for compounds that elute too strongly on longer alkyl phases such as C8 or C18.
