Ammerbuch, Germany / Morton Grove, Illinois — October 1, 2026
Dr. Maisch HPLC GmbH, a German manufacturer of high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) columns and stationary phases, today announced that it has entered into an agreement to acquire the Chromatography Business of Esteve CDMO US, Inc. (formerly known as Regis Technologies, Inc.). The transaction is expected to close in October 2026, subject to customary closing conditions.
The business to be acquired includes the internationally established Whelk-O® chiral HPLC and SFC platform, achiral SFC and reversed-phase columns, Immobilized Artificial Membrane (IAM) chromatography products, specialty ion-pairing and derivatizing reagents, as well as chiral screening services.
Financial and other terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The acquisition brings together two highly complementary chromatography portfolios. The acquired Chromatography Business contributes decades of expertise in chiral separations, SFC, IAM chromatography and specialty reagents, while Dr. Maisch HPLC adds its broad capabilities in stationary-phase development, analytical and preparative HPLC columns, and customized chromatography solutions.
Following closing, the U.S. chromatography business will operate from the Chicago area under the name Regis ChroMa Inc., a Dr. Maisch company. The transaction will establish Dr. Maisch HPLC’s first dedicated manufacturing and commercial operation in the United States, giving the company a dedicated U.S. base and supporting its long-term growth in the U.S. market.
The announcement comes ahead of SFC Europe 2026, taking place October 4–6, 2026 in Basel, Switzerland, an international meeting focused on technologies and applications in supercritical fluid chromatography.
