Allsphere Phenyl

Aromatic-Selective Reversed-Phase Column for π–π Interactions

Allsphere Phenyl is a reversed-phase HPLC column modified with phenyl functional groups, offering unique selectivity through π–π interactions with aromatic analytes. Built on fully porous, high-purity silica, this phase provides moderate hydrophobicity and is especially useful for separating compounds with aromatic rings, positional isomers, and polar conjugated systems. Allsphere Phenyl is ideal for method development when C18 or C8 phases do not provide sufficient selectivity.

Allsphere Phenyl provides aromatic-specific retention and enhanced separation power – ideal for applications where standard alkyl phases are not sufficient.

Key Features

  • Phenyl bonded phase (USP L11) for aromatic compound separation

  • Enables π–π interactions and enhanced selectivity

  • Moderate hydrophobic retention compared to C18

  • Fully porous silica with reproducible performance

  • Available in 3 µm, 5 µm and 10 µm particle sizes

Typical Applications

  • Aromatic pharmaceuticals, natural products, and pollutants

  • Structural and positional isomers

  • Phenols, benzodiazepines, and aromatic amines

  • Method development requiring alternative reversed-phase selectivity
