Exsil Pure 120 Phenyl

Phenyl-Modified Silica for Aromatic Selectivity in Reversed-Phase HPLC

Exsil Pure 120 Phenyl is a phenyl-modified silica-based HPLC stationary phase based on ultra-high purity Exsil Pure 120 silica with a nominal pore size of 120 Å. The phenyl bonded ligand enables π–π interactions in addition to hydrophobic retention, providing alternative selectivity compared to conventional alkyl reversed-phase materials.

This surface chemistry enhances the separation of aromatic, conjugated, and structurally rigid compounds and allows improved resolution of positional isomers and closely related analytes. The 120 Å pore structure improves mass transfer and robustness, resulting in stable retention behavior, excellent peak shape, and reproducible chromatographic performance in routine analysis and method development.

Controlled silica synthesis, very low metal content, and stable phenyl bonding ensure excellent batch-to-batch reproducibility and reliable long-term performance, including compatibility with LC–MS workflows.

Exsil Pure 120 Phenyl combines aromatic selectivity with high-purity silica and robust chromatographic performance, making it a versatile reversed-phase option for small-molecule HPLC separations requiring alternative selectivity.
