Exsil Avanti BDS ALKAM

Base-Deactivated Alkyl Amide Phase for Improved Separation of Basic Compounds

Exsil Avanti BDS ALKAM is a high-performance alkyl amide bonded silica stationary phase based on the highly purified Avanti BDS silica platform. The phase is carefully bonded with a stable medium-chain alkyl amide functionality, resulting in a unique selectivity profile optimized for challenging basic analytes.

Unlike conventional alkyl-bonded phases on the same silica, Exsil Avanti BDS ALKAM exhibits reduced base retention, delivering improved control of retention behavior for amine-containing compounds. At the same time, peak symmetry for basic analytes is significantly enhanced compared to traditional alkyl phases. Through the optimized bonding procedure, the common issue of acid tailing often observed with standard amide phases is effectively minimized. In addition, Exsil Avanti BDS ALKAM resists phase collapse under low organic conditions, enabling reliable operation even with 100% aqueous mobile phases. Built on high-purity, base-deactivated silica, this phase ensures reproducible retention behavior, strong mechanical stability, and consistent chromatographic performance in both HPLC and UHPLC systems.

Exsil Avanti BDS ALKAM combines advanced base-deactivated silica technology with carefully engineered alkyl amide chemistry — delivering improved peak symmetry, controlled base retention, and enhanced method robustness for challenging reversed-phase separations.
