Exsil Avanti BDS Phenyl

Base-Deactivated Phenyl Phase for Enhanced Aromatic Selectivity in Reversed-Phase HPLC

Exsil Avanti BDS Phenyl is a high-performance phenyl-bonded silica stationary phase built on the advanced base-deactivated Avanti BDS platform. Designed for demanding reversed-phase HPLC and UHPLC applications, this phase combines aromatic π–π interaction capability with minimized silanol activity to deliver improved peak symmetry and reproducible retention behavior.

The phenyl functionality introduces additional π–π stacking, dipole interactions, and shape selectivity, providing complementary separation characteristics compared to traditional C18 or C8 phases. Thanks to the base-deactivated silica surface, secondary interactions with residual silanol groups are significantly reduced. This results in sharper peaks — particularly for basic and aromatic compounds—while maintaining strong and stable retention. Exsil Avanti BDS Phenyl is especially suitable for the separation of aromatic pharmaceuticals, heterocycles, polyaromatic compounds, and structurally related isomers. The highly purified spherical silica matrix ensures excellent mechanical strength, consistent packing quality, and reliable performance under high-pressure UHPLC conditions.

Exsil Avanti BDS Phenyl combines aromatic interaction selectivity with advanced base-deactivation technology — delivering precise, reproducible, and high-resolution reversed-phase separations for complex aromatic analytes.
