ReproSil Chiral-Beta-PM

Silica-Based Chiral Phase with Covalently Linked Permethylated β-Cyclodextrin for Enantioselective Chromatography

ReproSil Chiral-Beta-PM is a silica-based HPLC stationary phase in which permethylated β-cyclodextrin is covalently linked to high-purity spherical silica particles, specifically designed for enantioselective separations in normal-phase, reversed-phase, and polar-organic chromatography. The permethylated β-cyclodextrin structure offers a non-polar, hydrophobic cavity while maintaining the chiral recognition properties of cyclodextrins, enabling efficient resolution of a broad range of racemic compounds.

The methylation of all hydroxyl groups on the β-cyclodextrin ring enhances hydrophobicity and reduces secondary polar interactions, resulting in sharper peaks and improved selectivity for analytes that interact predominantly via inclusion and dispersion forces. The covalent immobilization of the chiral selector ensures excellent phase stability, preventing leaching and maintaining consistent performance under various solvent and gradient conditions. ReproSil Chiral-Beta-PM is particularly suited for the separation of neutral, non-polar, and moderately polar chiral compounds, including aromatic hydrocarbons, terpenes, and pharmaceutical intermediates. Its broad solvent compatibility and robust design make it a versatile tool for analytical and preparative chiral HPLC in pharmaceutical, chemical, and biochemical research.

ReproSil Chiral-Beta-PM combines the chiral recognition ability of permethylated β-cyclodextrin with the stability of covalently bonded silica – the reliable choice for accurate and reproducible enantioselective separations across diverse chromatographic conditions.

Attractive Alternative to Nucleodex beta-PM (Macherey-Nagel).
