ReproSil BDS Phenyl from Dr. Maisch HPLC GmbH is a fully porous, high-purity silica HPLC column with a 120 Å pore size and a base-deactivated phenyl-bonded phase. The BDS (Base-Deactivated Silica) technology minimizes residual silanol activity, resulting in sharper peaks and less tailing, particularly for basic and polar analytes. The phenyl functionality provides π–π interactions in addition to hydrophobic retention, giving this phase orthogonal selectivity compared to alkyl phases like C18 or C8, making it highly suitable for the separation of aromatic compounds, isomers, and conjugated systems.
ReproSil BDS Phenyl columns from Dr. Maisch HPLC GmbH deliver aromatic selectivity with improved peak symmetry – the ideal choice for challenging reversed-phase separations requiring orthogonal selectivity.
