The endcapping surface modification significantly reduces residual silanol activity, leading to improved peak shape and retention stability — especially in aqueous mobile phases and for basic or ionizable analytes. This column is ideal for normal-phase and HILIC separations of sugars, polyols, and polar drug substances, offering increased reproducibility and reduced peak tailing compared to conventional NH₂ phases.
