Exsil Avanti BDS QUATTRO

Polar Embedded Phase for Exceptional Base Performance at Low and Neutral pH

Exsil Avanti BDS QUATTRO is an advanced polar embedded reversed-phase silica built on the highly purified Avanti BDS platform. It is specifically engineered to deliver excellent peak shape, reduced base retention, and alternative selectivity compared to conventional C8 and C18 BDS phases.

Unlike traditional monomerically bonded alkyl phases, Exsil Avanti BDS QUATTRO integrates a polar embedded functionality, combining outstanding low-pH performance with dramatically improved behavior for difficult bases at pH 7. This makes it a powerful solution for pharmaceutical, peptide, and challenging basic analytes. Under acidic conditions (e.g. 0.1% TFA), Exsil Avanti BDS QUATTRO delivers sharp, symmetrical peaks for acids, bases, and chelates, with bases eluting earlier than on conventional BDS phases, improving resolution and detection. At neutral pH (pH 7), the polar embedded design significantly reduces silanol interactions, resulting in excellent peak shape for strong bases and lower base retention compared to traditional base-deactivated media, thereby offering alternative selectivity for difficult basic and neutral compounds.

Exsil Avanti BDS QUATTRO combines polar embedded selectivity with advanced base-deactivated silica technology — delivering sharp peaks, controlled base retention, and robust chromatographic performance at both low and neutral pH.
