Exsil 100 C1 (TMS) is a trimethylsilyl-modified silica-based HPLC stationary phase based on high-purity Exsil 100 silica with a nominal pore size of 100 Å. The short-chain C1 (TMS) bonded phase provides a very low hydrophobic surface coverage, resulting in weak reversed-phase retention and enhanced accessibility of the silica surface.
This unique surface chemistry makes Exsil 100 C1 (TMS) particularly suitable for the separation of very polar and moderately polar compounds that show insufficient retention on conventional C8 or C18 phases. The reduced hydrophobic interaction allows fine control of retention while maintaining good peak shape and reproducible selectivity.
Thanks to controlled silica synthesis and stable surface modification, Exsil 100 C1 (TMS) delivers consistent batch-to-batch performance and reliable chromatographic behavior, making it suitable for routine analysis as well as method development.
Exsil 100 C1 (TMS) provides controlled, weak reversed-phase retention and reliable performance, making it an effective tool for challenging separations of highly polar small molecules.
