Exsil 100 ODS-1 is a low-coverage octadecyl-modified (C18) silica-based HPLC stationary phase based on high-purity Exsil 100 silica with a nominal pore size of 100 Å. Compared to standard ODS phases, the reduced ligand density provides lower hydrophobic retention while maintaining the characteristic selectivity of C18 chemistry.

This controlled surface coverage enables improved retention tuning and enhanced selectivity for compounds that are overly retained on conventional high-coverage C18 phases. Exsil 100 ODS-1 is particularly useful for separations requiring shorter retention times, improved resolution of closely eluting compounds, or increased sensitivity to subtle hydrophobic differences.
