Exsil Avanti BDS CN

Base-Deactivated Cyano Phase for Enhanced Selectivity in RP and NP HPLC

Exsil Avanti BDS CN is a high-performance cyano bonded silica stationary phase built on the advanced base-deactivated Avanti BDS platform. Designed for both reversed-phase and normal-phase HPLC and UHPLC applications, this phase combines controlled polar selectivity with minimized silanol activity to ensure excellent peak symmetry and reproducibility.

The cyano functionality provides a distinct dipolar surface, offering complementary selectivity compared to traditional alkyl phases such as C8 or C18. Thanks to the base-deactivated silica matrix, secondary interactions with residual silanol groups are significantly reduced. This results in improved peak shape for basic and moderately polar compounds, as well as more predictable retention behavior across a wide range of analytes. In reversed-phase mode, Exsil Avanti BDS CN delivers moderate hydrophobic retention with enhanced polar selectivity. In normal-phase applications, it supports adsorption-driven separations with stable retention and fast equilibration. The highly purified spherical silica ensures excellent mechanical stability and consistent chromatographic performance under high-pressure UHPLC conditions.

Exsil Avanti BDS CN combines controlled cyano polarity with advanced base-deactivation technology—delivering flexible selectivity, reliable peak shape, and high-resolution separations for modern analytical laboratories.
