Exsil Avanti CN (1)

Non-Endcapped Cyano Phase for Versatile RP and NP Selectivity

Exsil Avanti CN (1) is a high-performance cyano bonded silica stationary phase developed for flexible use in both reversed-phase and normal-phase HPLC and UHPLC. This non-endcapped version retains accessible silanol groups on the silica surface, enabling additional polar interactions that enhance selectivity for structurally related and moderately polar compounds.

The cyano functionality introduces a polar, dipolar surface that offers distinct separation characteristics compared to traditional alkyl phases. In reversed-phase mode, Exsil Avanti CN (1) provides controlled hydrophobic retention with enhanced polar selectivity. In normal-phase applications, it supports adsorption-driven separations with fast equilibration and stable performance. The presence of residual silanol groups allows secondary hydrogen bonding and dipole interactions, which can improve resolution for certain analytes—particularly basic, aromatic, or multifunctional compounds. Built on the Exsil Avanti high-purity spherical silica platform, this phase ensures high efficiency, excellent mechanical strength, and reproducible chromatographic behavior even under high-pressure UHPLC conditions.

Exsil Avanti CN (1) combines the versatile polarity of cyano chemistry with controlled surface activity—delivering flexible selectivity, reliable performance, and reproducible separations for modern chromatographic applications.
