Its short alkyl chain delivers weak hydrophobic retention, enabling faster elution of large, lipophilic or strongly retained analytes such as peptides, protein fragments, and hydrophobic drug substances.

The wide-pore structure ensures optimal accessibility and efficient mass transfer for high-molecular-weight compounds. Standard endcapping (ST) reduces silanol activity, improving peak symmetry and reproducibility under acidic or neutral conditions.
