Amylose-Based Chiral Phase with (S)-α-Methylbenzyl Carbamate for Enantioselective Normal-Phase Chromatography

ReproSil Chiral-AMS is a silica-based HPLC stationary phase coated with tris-(S)-α-methylbenzyl carbamate amylose, specifically developed for enantioselective separations under normal-phase conditions. The chiral selector, derived from amylose and substituted with (S)-α-methylbenzyl carbamate groups, provides distinct stereochemical recognition based on multiple interaction mechanisms, including hydrogen bonding, dipole–dipole, and π–π interactions.

This unique chiral structure enables high enantioselectivity and complementary selectivity profiles compared to other amylose- or cellulose-based chiral phases. The high-purity, spherical silica support ensures excellent mechanical stability, reproducibility, and column lifetime, even under routine or demanding analytical conditions.
