ReproSil Chiral-HSA is a silica-based HPLC stationary phase with immobilized human serum albumin (HSA), developed for enantioselective separations based on protein–ligand interactions. The immobilized HSA acts as a natural chiral selector, offering multiple binding sites and diverse interaction mechanisms such as hydrogen bonding, hydrophobic interactions, and steric recognition. This enables highly selective separations of a broad range of chiral compounds, particularly pharmaceuticals, metabolites, and biologically active substances.
The use of high-purity spherical silica as a support provides excellent mechanical stability, high efficiency, and reproducible performance under routine and gradient conditions. The covalent immobilization of human serum albumin ensures chemical robustness and allows the column to be used with a variety of mobile phase compositions — including aqueous buffers, alcohols, and moderate concentrations of organic solvents — without loss of chiral recognition. ReproSil Chiral-HSA is especially suited for bioanalytical, pharmaceutical, and clinical applications, where biologically relevant chiral separations and stereochemical purity determination are essential.
ReproSil Chiral-HSA combines the biological selectivity of human serum albumin with the robustness of high-purity silica – the reliable choice for precise and biologically relevant enantioselective separations in chiral protein-based chromatography.
