ReproSil Chiral-MIA is a silica-based HPLC stationary phase with immobilized tris-(3,5-dimethylphenyl)carbamate amylose, developed for enantioselective separations under normal-phase conditions. The immobilized amylose derivative provides high chiral recognition capability through a combination of hydrogen bonding, π–π interactions, dipole–dipole forces, and steric complementarity, enabling excellent resolution for a wide range of racemic compounds.
Unlike traditional coated chiral phases, ReproSil Chiral-MIA features a covalently bound amylose derivative, offering outstanding chemical robustness and extended solvent compatibility. This immobilization allows the use of mobile phases containing stronger or more polar solvents, providing greater flexibility in method development and optimization while maintaining excellent enantioselectivity. The stationary phase is based on high-purity spherical silica, ensuring superior mechanical strength, high efficiency, and reproducible retention behavior even under demanding chromatographic conditions. ReproSil Chiral-MIA is particularly suited for pharmaceutical, biochemical, and fine chemical applications, where reliable, high-resolution enantioseparations are essential.
ReproSil Chiral-MIA combines the proven chiral selectivity of amylose tris-(3,5-dimethylphenyl)carbamate with the robustness of immobilized silica technology – the reliable choice for precise, flexible, and reproducible enantioselective separations in normal-phase chromatography.
Attractive alternative to CHIRALPAK® IA (Daicel®) and YMC Amylose-SA (YMC).
