ReproSil Chiral-MIB is a silica-based HPLC stationary phase with immobilized tris-(3,5-dimethylphenyl)carbamate cellulose, developed for enantioselective separations under normal-phase conditions. The immobilized cellulose derivative provides strong and broad chiral recognition through hydrogen bonding, π–π interactions, dipole–dipole forces, and steric complementarity, enabling high-resolution separations for a wide range of racemic compounds.
Unlike conventional coated cellulose-based chiral phases, ReproSil Chiral-MIB features a covalently immobilized chiral selector, ensuring exceptional chemical and mechanical stability. This immobilization allows the use of a wider range of mobile phases, including polar or non-standard solvents, without compromising the phase’s chiral recognition performance. As a result, it provides greater flexibility and reliability for method development and robust enantioseparation workflows. Built on high-purity spherical silica, the phase exhibits excellent column efficiency, reproducible retention, and long operational lifetime. ReproSil Chiral-MIB is ideally suited for pharmaceutical, chemical, and biochemical applications, offering consistent and accurate enantioseparations in both analytical and preparative scales.
ReproSil Chiral-MIB combines the proven chiral recognition power of cellulose tris-(3,5-dimethylphenyl)carbamate with the durability of immobilized silica technology – the reliable choice for precise, flexible, and reproducible enantioselective separations in normal-phase chromatography.
Attractive alternative to CHIRALPAK® IB (Daicel®) and YMC Cellulose-SB (YMC).
