ReproSil Chiral-MIC is a silica-based HPLC stationary phase with immobilized tris-(3,5-dichlorophenyl)carbamate cellulose, designed for enantioselective separations under normal-phase conditions. The cellulose derivative substituted with 3,5-dichlorophenyl carbamate groups provides highly efficient and selective chiral recognition through a combination of hydrogen bonding, π–π stacking, dipole–dipole interactions, and steric complementarity.
The electron-withdrawing chlorine substituents on the aromatic rings enhance the π–acceptor properties of the carbamate groups, resulting in a distinct selectivity pattern and strong chiral discrimination for a wide variety of racemic compounds. The immobilized chiral selector is covalently bound to high-purity spherical silica, providing outstanding chemical and mechanical stability while maintaining excellent enantioselectivity and reproducible retention behavior. In contrast to traditional coated cellulose-based materials, ReproSil Chiral-MIC allows the use of a broader range of mobile phases — including polar and non-standard solvent mixtures — without risking loss of the chiral selector. This makes the phase highly versatile and reliable for both method development and routine analytical or preparative separations in pharmaceutical, chemical, and biochemical laboratories.
ReproSil Chiral-MIC combines the enhanced chiral selectivity of cellulose tris-(3,5-dichlorophenyl)carbamate with the durability of immobilized silica – the reliable choice for precise, high-resolution, and reproducible enantioselective separations in normal-phase chromatography.
