This enhances polar selectivity and allows additional ion-exchange interactions — particularly beneficial for separating basic, polar, or structurally related compounds. This non-endcapped phase provides an orthogonal retention mechanism compared to fully endcapped C18 materials, making it ideal for method development, selectivity screening, and the separation of challenging analytes.
